Formerly STATS LLC, has been one the world’s leading sports information, content and statistical analysis company. Currently being one of the largest sports data companies along with rival SportRadar, STATS provides statistical material including sports data collection, processing, and distribution for sports leagues, teams, and the media.

ACQUISITIONS IN CHRONOGICAL ORDER

In 2000, Fox Sports has acquired STATS LLC.
In 2005, STATS became a joint venture between News Corporation and the Associated Press.
In 2008 December, STATS has acquired SportVU, which is an automated ID and tracking technology that collects positioning data of the ball and participants (players and referees) within the playing field in real-time.
In 2014 June, Fox Sports and the AP sold STATS to Vista Equity Partners, a private equity firm.
In 2015 February, STATS has acquired The Sports Network, a media company with a focus on NHL.
In 2015 February, STATS has acquired Automated Insights, a service creates automated stories for the media.
In 2015 May, STATS has acquired ProZone, an athlete tracking and sports performance data company which also owns Amisco.
In April 2019, the DAZN (formerly Perform) Group has been acquired by STATS to form a new company, STATSPERFORM.
