What Referee Improved to 10-0?
UPDATE: His streak ended after Houston beat Miami on 24th Nov, 2008.

UPDATE: He improved to 10-0 after New Orleans beat Oklahoma City on 22nd Nov, 2008.

UPDATE: He improved to 9-0 after Indiana beat Atlanta on 18th Nov, 2008.

As you know at Nbastuffer.com it's fun to be able to follow every part of game. Referee stats are arguably the funniest.  You should remember, I wrote a blog post that Eddie Rush went 9-1 in 2008 Playoffs. He officiated 10 games and, in 9 of this 10 games home teams won.

Mike Callahan

With the regular season has just started 3 weeks ago; I want you to keep a closed eye on a referee: He's Mike Callahan.

Toronto beat Miami today and he improved to a 8-0 record. No road teams have yet to win a game which has been officated by him.

By the way, road teams' winning percentage is 0.432 in the 2008-2009 regular season.

Sortable NBA Efficiency and Referee Stats Are Up!
Check out the stat pages, here and here. All stats are sortable!

Use the handy table for majorly known stats along with possession based offensive, defensive efficiency. It also includes efficiency differentials and a new consistency metric based on each team's game-by-game efficiency differential.  For those of you who are not familiar with these metrics, take a look at "Analytics 101"s team evaluation metrics. Besides, you can find the road / home splits that makes sense in case you are just not looking for season's aggregated stats. More to come soon.

In the referee stats page, NBA referees are seperated into two types: main referees and and the rest of officiating crew. Point totals scored in the game, home teams' W/L percentages and point differentials are some of the stuff which I think will we very helpful to evaluate referees.

The officials whose stats are published on NBAstuffer.com are the main referees who are assigned to the games by the NBA. As you may know each NBA game is officiated by a referee crew. It is possible and natural that two other assistant referees in the crew might effect the main referee's stats.
